You guys are exactly on the right track!
I have some/not all Canadian numerical suffix listings, suffix ‘77’ noted below.
'77' is one of the most common that shows up and was factory equipment in a lot of Canadian built 1966 model year cars.

Factory installed in Canadian built cars - Includes cranks drilled for pilot bushing
Applications = Beaumonts, Chevelles, Full Size Chevrolet and Canadian SBC powered Pontiacs
