Default Re: 1969 Camaro Trunk paint

I got as close as as I could with what I have on hand and painted my trunk. It was very frustrating to take a picture of an original trunk and not have it match an actual sample. My flash changes the color appearance. Here is a couple pictures of the finished trunk. The background color I used is "RM Diamont TA 1106" its a flat interior paint. The splater I have to find out if I can get more of. It is really hard to work with and I could only spray it with a paint pot and external mix gun. I will report back on the splatter. George

great thread back up - after the spatter is put down does this need to be sealed with? satin clear? isn't trunk paint water based and need to be sealed?

Original paint is not water based. Some repros are.

This item is produced by the original manufacturer. One quart will do your entire trunk. Can be thinned by water. Clear coat is not needed for this application.
