Actually, when you flip these over and use them with slapper bars, the snubber hits the clamp and not the spring. With a standard length Lakewood ( snubber doesn't quite hit the spring eye) you won't get S bends in your springs . It tends to plant the rear a bit harder. Add some shims to adjust the bar angle and almost zero gap the snubber. You'd be surprised how well it will launch. Straighter as well. I've been running this combo on my 68 for years. I'm not gentle with it. With slicks, your grabbin. Cars use to,and still do, fly with this old school combo.

Ever set up a Mopar with spring clamps and a snubber? With a 6 K launch, you 'd thought you were rear ended by semi!
