The 350hp 396 was rare to begin with - rarer than the 375hp version - so it stands to reason. But you could get AC with the former. And, as a rule, 4-speed AC cars are not common at all. Rather than chase a number why not seize the idea that it's a desirable combo and leave it at that?

Thanks your right i've restored few 70-72 z28's over the years never a big first gen guy until i bought a 68 rs ss convert ls1 protouring car in april really started reading about these cars then this 396 just popped up.Hope to have it done buy superbowl one thing good guy pulled sub frame out when motor was done and painted everything in 1989 so it's pretty clean under car.Guy i bought car from is getting car running for me has done 5-6 resto on these 67-68 cars will let him do the work has lots of org new parts for the car he's built up over the years Thanks nice talking to you..
