Thanks Jason/Mike....I don't have the regulator mounted on rubber, but I also don't have a ground wire on it. I always assumed it was grounded just with the 3 mounting screws. I'll look into that today.

Someone pointed out, in the video, the generator light wasn't on when we first fired the motor, but it started coming on dim, then lit up bright. So we were thinking the regulator took a dump in the first couple mins, that the engine was running. I was more concerned with the temp gauge not working.

I also have the original 69 dated reg, that was working fine before I dismantled the car. I was gonna try that regulator last night, but I had drained the radiator, to add anti-freeze, and couldn't run it.....I'll pick up the anti-freeze today, and check out the regulators, WITH ground wires.
