So are the flags added or real? If real then what engine do they denote, the 348?

I was always under the impression flags were V8 cars and non flags 6 cyl cars.Im probably wrong though.

Not in '58. They denoted model, not engine. '59, '60 & '61 used crossed flags to denote the 348.
