You need to provide more details about the car. Orig drivetrain, sheet metal, restored, condition so we can help.

Wow...where to start. It is an early 06A X33D80 Z. I have lots of pics on photobucket but not sure how to post the link perminently in my sig yet. I'm still learning. Just did get an avatar and a pic of my car on here.

Non original engine and trans, but the car came with a load of correct dated parts when I bought it. All the internals to the block were there, correct dated heads, 480 distributor, all the bolt on parts except carb, alternator and small pieces. Block is V0604DZ but wrong VIN stamp. Oil pan must have had something go thru the side of it at some point and has a weld repair on it. Currently running a 70 spec LT1 with all the DZ parts including the 30-30 cam and a Dave's Small Body HEI and service replacement 4053. Just bought a dated 4053 934 from Vintage Musclecars, (thanks man). Trans is a May 69 M20. Currently have an early built, 11/28/68, 12bolt coded BL with posi and 3.73's installed but have the BE going back in it when I get some free time. Took 4.10's and 4 series out to put 3.73's back in. It has quarter skins on it but everything else is oem. I'm thinking it has 2 repaints over the original Cortez Silver and the door and trunk jambs still have the original paint in those areas. Last paint is BC/CC and was done in 1987 from what I was told from the first owner who brought it into Delaware from Maryland. Car has always been garaged from what I was told.

Something else, I think my car was a flat hood car and non power steering which it has both now. Most of the ZL2 parts are oem pieces except the breather which my wife bought for me one Christmas. The power steering was mixed parts. Leaking 67 power unit, not sure what year pump, plus it had 68 Z28 power steering pump brackets. Yanked all that out and installed all the correct 69 stuff and added a power steering box from a 1980 WS Trans Am. Car has nice firm positive steering. I love it. For all the 68 Z people, sorry I don't have those brackets. I sold them in 2001 along with the 67 power steering box and pump. They went fast too.

Car has been a blast these past 13 years and looking for parts has been a real education. Economy is going down hill but the Z parts are going up. What a shame. People like me can't afford those steep prices and I can't tell you how many parts I had to see slip thru my fingers because of the hobby not being a hobby anymore. Lots of people people making a living this way, but I digress.
