Default Scunzio ZL1

Somebody help me. I missed buying a green 1969 Camaro 427 back in 1970-71 in Hopedale Massachusetts. For my own piece of mind, somebody tell me the ZL1 that sold out of Scunzio in Rhode Island was not green. Anybody?

Thanks,

Fred Fisher

A friend walked by that green car at Scuncio, and said he wouldn't have even looked twice at it if for the fact the price on the sticker caught his eye. So then they looked it over.

Somewhere around I have an old issue (74 I believe) of HOt Rod Magazine that has an add in the "Cars for sale" section for one of the ZL1 Camaros. One of the things that stuck with me was the phrase in the add that stated "Never been tracked".....

----I not only sat in that car, I drove it in the early summer of 69, albeit a short distance. It was green. I actually didnt think about buying it at all as I was looking for something a bit more mundane. The salesman actually pestered me. The ride was really not all that memorable as I was a bit intimidated. I ended up buying a 396/350/4spd Garnet Red Camaro from Clausen Chevy in Falmouth on the Cape.......Bill S

When I looked at it for sale the owner's first name was Carl and last name was Edlin,Edin, something with an E from Hopedale. Anybody got any paper trail from the early '70's? May be time to kick my ass.

----There are people on the sight that would know for sure, but I believe that the car was sold new with a 396/375 motor. The ZL1 engine lives and breaths, I believe, but Im not sure weather its back in the car or not. Just cant remember......Bill S

Scuncio ordered/delivered other green '69 Copo Camaros too but they were Copo 9561 iron block L72's, only the one 9560 alloy lump ZL1.
Cool story Fred, tell us more...yours too Bill!
