Both were possible,Goodyear polys or Firestone Wide Oval, and were the most popular.
Uniroyal Tiger Paw & General 700 Bia Belts were too,but those aren't reproduced today.
A few have claimed to have gotten their '70 Chevelle w/B.F.Goodrich Silvertowns too.
The buildsheet & window sticker didn't specify brand.
All are F70X14 size.

I know Firestones and Goodyears were available in 69.

In '69, the Goodyears for Chevelle and Camaro were Speedway Wide Treads, with Polyglas in very late availability. The date has been a controversy, but I know that Camaro Pace cars wore Firestones of GY Polyglas. The track car was wearing 15" 'Vette rims with Speedway's.

Let me know what you are looking for and the build date and we can add some clarity to the picture!

Are you talking about the actual Pace Cars or the Replicas ? I have never seen a replica with a orig. Polyglas tire on it from the factory. I have a orig. Wide Tread out of a replica.

Yes, the pace car replicas were done with both Polyglas and Wide Ovals. Most years the tires were exclusive, but not in 1969.

The actual pace cars (2) were out fitted with Firestones on one and Goodyear Power Cushions on the other ( the Corvette tires). It was a big PR deal that year.

Correction on the actual pace cars. The Goodyear car wore F70-15 Speedway Wide Treads. The Firestone and Goodyear cars actually alternated going out on the track.
Mr. Kelsey is going to see if he can pull up a picture of the Mexico Govt. representative riding in one of the Goodyear parade cars.
