Oh my God.........I hav not been here in a week or so and just saw this thread. I am at a loss for words. I am very sorry to hear of Pete's passing. I was just watching the COPO episode of American Muscle Car with my father where Pete is showed racing, and we were just talking about him. God speed Pete. You got em' all licked in that big drag strip in the sky. The were probably saying, "Oh no.....here comes COPO Pete!"

Strange how you can still smile with tears in your eyes.
I'm so glad I got to spend some time with Peter, Vicky, Owen & Eric. But knowing what a good man he was just makes it hurt even more. I hope to see you again someday Peter. Godspeed Sir.

I first met Peter at one of the SuperCar Reunions a few years back. You could tell he was a just one of the guys, loved his family and cars and would help anyone he could. My wife and I had the chance to take Peter and his wife to lunch when they visited Hawaii. Of course it was all bench racing at the table but it was something we both enjoyed. Took him by a few cars I knew of I thought he would like to check out. nice 2 hours spent talking with a great guy, RIP Peter
