"I agree. I'll be bringing the Charger to the Mecum Indy auction in May. With a sensible reserve, of course.
We will see what happens." Steve, I have said it before and I will say it again, it will be a sad day in this house when you sell the Charger. Not only have I known the car since I was a kid, and am still friends with previous owners, I have the connection with all the documentation. My father did the new car delivery prep, my uncle Rich worked in the parts room and ordered the headers and my uncle Jim and Grandfather all worked at that little dealership when your car was ordered new. Growing up in a Mopar family, I heard talk of your car through the years, long before I got to meet you or see the car in person. My dad and I have looked foward to seeing you and the Charger at every Mopar show for the last 20+ years. |

John, you and your family are an amazing group, indeed. We will see what happens in May. Otherwise, the car may just be back in my garage again....or yours.

I ran the numbers and tried to come up with a way to put the Charger in my garage. I could sell my house, but my wife really wasn't happy with the thought of actually living in the Charger.I could start a foundation and you donate the car to me for a write off...but something tells me you would not go for that. I could give you both of my Mustangs so you could try your hand at Ford restorations since you have mastered Mopar and Pontiac already. I guess in the end, I will just have to settle for my collection of articles, models and memories of the Charger.
