Did he actually do the restoration or did he hire somebody to do it?? If he did hire somebody, who was it??

The owner John, has a collision/resto shop about 15 miles from ours. I never asked about what he began with, specifics to the car, or validity to it's origins. Just asked him about the progress as he'd visit our shop for new parts he put on the car. FYI He did not get any of those stamped items from us! For all I know he could have been taken when he purchased the vehicle. Would definitely be interesting to find out what previous history he does have for the car. Hopefully for his sake it's not fraudulent paperwork!

Trans build date (P0B12C) 2nd week of Feb., but the main case was cast the 1st week March...

Nice trick, build the trans before the main case was cast... (and they used the wrong font)

Things that make you go HMM... Crash

I looked this car over very closely in July at the Northern Chevelle Gathering in Niagara Falls. Aside from the black stripes, ALL of the stamps on it are hokey. The engine stamp is one of the worst I have ever seen. There are also a ton of incorrectness on it. I did talk to John, the owner and he claims to have done the car himself or in his shop. I could have bombarded it with what was wrong but I didn't want to get into that discussion.

Nice car, but it's borderline comical that every stampable part has been restamped. I guess I can't comment on the starter, but everything else....
