The Ram Rod is a far superior design. The gate / plate design is so simple.

I believe...The old Mr.G has the trigger further down the stick. I found it much more cumbersome to reach down and pull up with my palm still on the T handle. I always wanted to extend the rod maybe an inch or two. Broke it before I could improve it..

I remember all the Bad Ass street 4-speed cars had the Ram Rod or a Verti-Gate in them.

I always preferred the super shifter 3 to the ramrod/V gate. Just picked up an NOS 3 last month...
