Default Re: Donnie`s new 1969 Dover White L78 Chevelle

I thought I would add in a little piece to Donnie's restoration. I stopped at his place on my way back from MCACN to drop off some parts to him. I also brought his drive shaft back with me to drop off to Quanta for restoration. Since we all know how picky Donnie is in regards to his attention to detail , I decided to clean up a part of the drive shaft to reveal the original stripes painted on it and take some measurements.
Cleaning revealed stripes in this pattern... Orange Blue Black. Each one is approximately 1/4" wide and spaced 3/4" between orange and blue, then 1/2" between blue and black. The orange stripe begins 26.5" from the front of the drive shaft (outer edge of the U joint casing) The black stripe is set 27.5" from the back

I even used correct colored Sharpie markers to illustrate!

I am going to drop it off at Quanta on my of my journeys to Maryland in the next couple weeks.
