I noticed a old 72 Chevelle bracket race car sitting and it decided to follow me home.. The car is a 72 SS with the BD trim tag has f41 suspension came originally with a 373 posi 12 bolt (now holding 456's)the car is 100% rust free with its original panels still on it, but looks rough with the spray can primer all over it,the car is a bit hacked up its been a bracket car for years and will probably stay that way. The original color is code 14 pewter silver with a white top and stripes with white seats, the odd part to me is the original engine code was 350 2 barrel?? I have some old LS-7 crate engines I think im going to stick one of those in and a quick paint job for another beater.

Yup...1972 Chevelle Super Sports could come with nearly any V8 Chevy had at that time.

The 350-2 with the 373 12 bolt posi seems like a odd combination, makes me wonder what was the reasoning.

Quick as hell off the line for a few feet, then no more power after that. |

The 307 was possible in an SS,beginning in '72.And with either a Powerglide or a TH350 Trans. too.

And mine came with a 2:73 rear from the factory, not 3:73. Still a slug. |

No 307 was possible on an SS. Never saw one personally, but was told by another he had one of the few. Just found out his was a Heavy Chevy originally. |
