I remember reading about that guy. He was the first Mr. Goodwrench, but was not a mechanic. Can't remember if he worked for the ad agency or for GM, but I think the ad agency. Someone suggested he looked like a mechanic, so they used him for the first shoot.
Brian, are you certain on the date? I thought the goodwrench campaign started a year or two earlier. Cool sign. As for what it is worth, I would pay $50 for it, if you haven't already given it to Charley.
