Wow! Thats the first NON staggered mounting pattern Keystone covers I have ever seen. Along with the fact that they have the original Keystone hold downs. I have NEVER seen the hold downs ever. -Matt

| Cleaning my Shop Finding So many Old Parts

Ok, so I know I have tons of parts in my shop, but until I started cleaning over the weekend I had forgotten what I had! I took some of the stuff and hung it on a piece of pegboard. [img:center]

I should use the search and pull up some decent descussions we've had on this before, but for now I'll try to summarize. it seemes like the Pie-Crust tires started out in the later 50's and were very popular up until 65/66. It seems that around 67 many of the race cars were switching to the newer tire technology. Others have posted some vintage dated pictures of cars using the Pie-Crust tires up till 1969. That would be my absolute latest time period I think they would be correct if we are trying to generalize things. What are your thoughts Dave? |

I gotta agree . . . . I don't like seeing the Pie-Crust style slicks on anything newer than 1966-67. After that, the Goodyear BlueStreaks, M&H's or 'Stones look appropriate.
