| Fullsize Ford question

Hi ! A friend of mine has a frame with some severe rust issues. His car is a 1965 Galaxie 4 door hardtop. Now someone offers to sell him a frame from a 1967 Country sedan and the question is of course: will it fit under the 1965 hardtop body ?

Most of the differences are in the rear suspension. Here's a very informative article regarding frame swaps of '65-'68s. http://7litre.org/frame.html |

Thanks ! It seems like it would fit, if I understand everything right. The pictures won´t show up but it seems like the convertible and wagon-frames are more rigid in the rear section. And there were of course some minor changes made over the years. I guess we´ll go and take a look at the 1967 frame.

My Mom had a 65 Galaxie in the late 60's /early 70's and by 60k miles the frame was rusted thru. I remember my dad having a welding shop make up steel plates and welded them to the frame to save it.

Thanks Glenn, we will look very carefully at the 1967 S.W. frame to find out the difference between it and the frame that is under the 1965 4 dr.HT.
