			Looks like that's a standard issue passenger car license plate, so it's probably not a highway patrol car. Whatever it is (67 Dodge Coronet maybe???) that would definitely fit the description of a "bad wreck".

			Looks like a 68 Plymouth Fury 4 door to me and looks to be the stock bumper guards with the rubbers torn loose. Also missing the center trunk trim. Texas Highway Patrol did use the 68 Plymouth Fury's but these plates are dated 72 so not sure. Must have been one hell of a crash as they even wiped out a shed or some other building.

			maybe it was a retired Highway Patrol Car that someone bought at auction then got way over their head in ... it also looks like a chrome ball from a whip antenna on the rh side of the deck lid ... not sure though regardless, one weird wreck
