I agree that a full resto essentially wipes out what is special about original patina. But since restoring my 18K mile Nova, I have to agree with Bill, that generally speaking, the car retains more of its original parts and the car itself needs less "messing with" to complete the restoration. Of course the car should only be restored if it HAS to be restored, i.e. already repainted.
