Very disturbing news. We were blessed, but few others knew of the unselfishness and generosity shown by Steve Sandlin. He took a lot of undeserved criticism by people who never took the time to learn about the real man.
Put aside his association with the car hobby; Steve Sandlin will be remembered by hundreds; maybe thousands of people as a true friend and loving family man. Godspeed Mr. Sandlin. You leave a void in the hearts of many.

Steve was a very nice man. I met Steve in Las Vegas when I visited there with our family a few years ago. I saw his collection, a very nice collection at that, and was interested in his 66 Chevelle. Steve had never met us, yet he came and picked us up at our hotel and offered us the use of his SUV for the week - that's the kind of man he was. He will be truly missed. Our condolences go out to the Sandlin family.
