That is the build date of the motor. 9th mo 9th day. Same format that would be on the top pad for a production engine.
Typically CE blocks were stamped on this machined pad near the starter. Looks like they could not figure out what to do with this block... [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif[/img]
