Default Header Coating - Color

I am getting ready to recoat the headers on my 1966 Belair 2door sedan 'Post" car with a big block and 4speed....
( the car is Cameo Beige with Fawn interior )
...and am considering other colors for the headers
...rather then the shiny aluminum look.

....I may coat them in a bright white....

Have any of you guys done that?

If you have any photos of your engine compartment
...show them to me for a comparison.

I am also putting on the steel wheels ( powdercoated to match the Cameo Beige paint )with the dogdish hubcaps....

White stands out nicely, but can be tuffer to keep clean. It is more period correct if that is what you are going for. Mine are jet hot coated - not all of their shops do flat white. I like flat/satin black too.

Make sure you post pix of your transformation (headers and wheels)!

White is definitely the way to go!! It just gives it that old school day 2 look... Just like Sam's in the picture.. That car looks even better in person!!

I like the white as well, they didn't make the Jet Hot in White when we put them on the Black RS/Z, William went with the Flat Black Jet Hot HOOKER SUPER COMPS.

White headers are cool, but what is the color scheme under the hood? Pretty much stock?

Under the hood is pretty much stock,
...power disc brakes, power steering, black radiator
( with black cooling componets electric fan), semigloss black firewall and inner fenders, orange motor, aluminum intake with black Dual-Snorkel air cleaner....
...the underside of the car has F41 suspension with front and rear swaybar and rear panhard bar ( from a 1967 427 Impala )
....
...I have a pair of STOCK exhaust manifolds
...and could put those back on ....grey color...

....all opinions are welcome

I am for the white John or flat black. But white preferred. If you are asking I am not a fan of the steelies. Those wheels and hub caps were the first things to go in the old days. Try to find an old set of ET or Rocket mags that look like the Cragar SS. Or even go with the Cragar SS wheels. The steelies to me belong in the closet for a Day-2 look. JMO

Headers were meant to be WHITE. Everything else is just the base coating for the White paint.
