I feel your assumption is correct. The part number on my box is different and does not refer to any specific model(s), whereas the one in your link refers to Camaros and Novas. That's why I'm thinking (or guessing really) that there were different lengths to the cable in question and I ended up with a short one rather than the longer one. But what the heck do I know??????? I know of three 69 Chevelles with this attached and they didn't have the problem I'm facing. When I look at pictures of one of those cars, and also a picture of the same package on an Ebay ad from last November, this cable looks a little longer in those pictures than the one I've got.
