To answer this question:

A body with orig vin stampings is the legitimate VIN. Simply installing a VIN tag to a car body that has different VIN stampings is a rebody. BTW the example you use is not necessarily the case in the car being discussed. A physical examination has yet to done so it is undetermined at this time.
