Lane Carey's 429 SCJ with a 9.92 is the first car
Then Dave Dudek finally pushed the Road Runner over with a 9.98 the current FAST record is a incredible 9.87 @ 139.82 for Lane holy cow

Wow, a FORD was the first in the 9's! How unexpected and totally cool. Lane's '71 Ford Mustang is an impressive car, to say the least. I have a picture of it pulling both front wheels that I sent to some friends. That's a LOOONG, heavy front end to yank the wheels on repop Polyglas. Unbelievable stuff.

I was there when he made that run.. Incredible. You should hear that car do its burnout., Must rev to 8000 rpm.. very nice.. Ford too!!

The Fords have always done well in stock eliminator. All their engines have more poential as race engines then street engines. I am wowwed by anybody going 9's in FAST trim,but I am not suprised it was a Ford.
