It is a Hurst shifter. Hurst straightened out the rods for faster, more accurate shifting. Had to cut a bigger hole in your floor but they worked pretty good. Had one in the nova years ago.

Just dont try to teach a GF how to drive with one installed. Its gets scary REAL FAST.
