Default Re: Bill Thomas Fastback Novas ?

[ QUOTE ]
Thanks for posting that pic Verne, I have that original ad from back in the day. I don't know how Platt got that car, nor where it is today. I believe the cKc car is here in PA.

I don't know the 'inquiring mind' here, but to be honest - I don't think anyone on this site would truly claim to be a 'guru' on the f/back Novas. Although at least 3 of them spent time with Bill Thomas, and were originally destined to be pseudo f/i 'vettes for the European road racing circuit they really don't come up in conversation very often. They are historically notable, but without any of them in circulation they are not oft discussed.

So, once again, if you have something to share - please do. If you are awaiting some type of confirmation - it might be awhile! It might be more productive if you simply asked the question of whatever it is that you are looking for - I know that the former/current owners of 2 of the f/back Novas peruse this site - but trust me, they won't post (so if you are here to 'smoke them out', it fruitless!)

I don't know if you caught this in my post on page 5.

I have known Kim since 1982. I remember him telling me that his father raced that car in several different venues. he told me at one time it ran a fuel injected 327 with TWO air meters mounted on the top of the plenum . He did a lot of experimenting with the car. He was also very well acquinted with Grumpy and Smokey back in the day.
