I saw the car on ebay, considered bidding, what a cool car! Great entry price too.

Looks like a fairly complete car as well which will make your life a lot easier! Just curious if it has the early or late hood on it. Little late for the early hood but I have not looked at enough Flint cars out there to know for sure. I have several hundred LS6 build sheets but think I only have one Flint sheet. Good color as well!

How often did the bellhousing receive the VIN instead of the block? I had never seen that before... but thinking about it for a minute, it could happen very easy!

[/ QUOTE ] We spoke with Chris White concerning the bellhousing stamping from Flint and he's seen several cars with the same stamp location, so it's not an issue with this car for us. As for Ricks' question, I'll try to post a picture of the hood for you as soon as I can.

Cool! Assuming it is original, this car has the very hard to come by early assembly line hood. Though it looks rough in the photo, hopefully it is in fairly good shape and is repairable.
Thanks for taking the photo. Rick

I think that's a great car and I remember when it was on E-Bay recently for under $30K. That's a good buy for a complete numbers-matching LS-6 Chevelle! Arguably.........King of the Musclecars!

[/ QUOTE ] Our thoughts as well Mark. The original owner and I spoke again today, his brother also has some vintage pictures of the car from 1970. We're looking forward to seeing them. Phil, the original owner says he was a regular Friday night guy at Woodward Ave. up in Mi. I guess it's pretty well known in those parts.
