I started installing a set I just recieved last week. The webbing is hands down better than what I sent in but is not as heavy as oem material as you might expect. Mine was a combo of sun bleached, dry and or redied originals. He also stitched in new lables with the correct code/dates, lightly buffed the deluxe buckles, fabricated the center rear belt set with my hardware and returned them with newly plated floor bolts....in 10 days. I spent $135 (not $600) and couldn't be happier. Those who know my car also know I am pretty picky. I guess it boils down to how deep your pockets are and with car prices dropping like a rock, I am happy with an alternitive.

Tried to post pics but they must be too large. The webbing is a bit shiny but can anybody remember how shiny they actually were in the day? I will try to post pics later.

Try putting the new belts in the dishwasher a few times to dull down the webbing.
Wrap the metals with ziploc bags & a rubberband.
After the wash cycle, turn off the dishwasher & let them sit.
Let the detergent cut into the webbing awhile.
I recommend any granulated detergent...
