Doubt if it was noise and absolutely not poor attendance IMO. It was an airport and a drag strip. I guess the airport eventually won out. If NHRA was smart they would have bought YORK US 30 instead of some of the other tracks they bought. You could park a million cars there. Maybe the airport owners would not sell and NHRA wanted to buy it but couldn't. Many, many great events were held there. I went there since 1970. The first Summernats!
