Although the ZL-1 and COPO cars are cool, I think the best option available in the Camaro has to be the droptop. And the Z11 Option with the L78 4-spd has got to be the best all around package ever available in a Camaro as far as the general public goes. This is my unbiased opinion, and has nothing to do with the fact that I own one"of the seven"(haha) L-78 Z-11's.

I realize we dont know how many were made, but how how many are actually known at this point?
And how many have the M-22 like mine?

Anyone care to speculate on the number of L78 Z11's originally produced. I've head 30-40 but that may be as erroneous as the "1 of 7" statement.

Let's face it, with this car that's for sale and Joe's car and my car, we account for almost half of the known L-78/ Z-11's???
I doubt it....There are probably a few more owned by members right here also.....and I'm sure others here know of other cars out there....

Not mine....but the original block is supposedly around somewhere. Still hoping for a needle in a haystack.
In the meantime, I hope to build the car with a correct L-89 motor. My car is neat because it has almost no options other than the Z11 and L-78 and M-22. no cosole or guages and a manual top. But they did opt for the Power Steering though. And apparently/possibly was raced because the discs were changed for drums at some point. A common racing trick back in the day.

And your car Joe?? Original motor?
Do tell please...
