If the brass were thinking at all, they would have built a 2 and 4 door Chevelle instead of the Camaro. In one model, you have the retro car, the muscle car, and a 4 door for those who want it. There would be room to seat five and there would be no need for the G8 which isn't breaking any sales records any way. There have to be a lot of cost saving in this idea.

Turned in the wifes 06 CTS and bought her a G8 a couple of months ago. A really solid car and so far no problems. We just returned from a road trip out east to Maine and Mass and averaged almost 27mpg with the V6. Not too bad for a 4000lb car.

That looks like the Holden Caprice, probably why they keep the name. The Holden Caprice isn't really the G8 which used to be based on the Holden Commodore SS.

BTW Holden makes cool cars.

-----I like that more-door . Is it because it isnt retro looking that you arent a fan??? It looks like it would generate good wind cheating ability and that seems to be of paramount importance any more.......Bill S

We can all hope that they eventually will take the Holden cars and put the steering wheel on the right side. They have a whole lot of cool cars in Australia. We can be thankful that they continued with the Z-platform when all other GM units cancelled it.
