If this topic has run it's course, perhaps I can migrate to a similar issue:
How is/are the fittings attached to the anodized portion of the pump? I have an NOS pump for my deuce, and after installation it leaked like a fountain, (Pittsburgh WoW show!). Turns out, the 'block' fitting has a small split where it attaches to the base, apparently not completely attached when initially assembled. I've thought about epoxy, but would like a more permanent solution - if any??
