I've been playing the lottery every week since it left, hoping if I hit it big maybe Sam would make a deal! It took me a long time to get used to that empty spot in front of my car when I'd pull into the garage. But we still have all those great memories and the car is finally getting the treatment it deserves! |

Linda, she was never lonely. She's been kept company by some of her kin ever since she got here. |

Look on the bright side Linda. She went to "Deuce Heaven", and yet is still alive!

I need to move to Donahue. My nova needs to be in the company of good friends and relatives. Maybe 108 N. Main Street is available. |

Sammy, you aren't going anywhere with that cream puff that you have! There's no way I would let you leave without me driving it one more time. Do they even sell Kakes out there?

We went out to dinner tonight with a couple of friends from the old gang that we hung out with back when the deuce was still tearing up the streets. We got to talking about the car and I mentioned that everyone calls it a "she" now and how in my mind it had always been a "he". Earl, and the friends we were with, said they had always thought of the car as a "he" also. I said that maybe Schonye had done a sex change operation on it during the restoration. Earl's comment, "Yeah, he probably left off a couple of nuts!" You can clean him up but you've got to be careful where you take him!!! |

Sorry Sammy. The fire chief lives there and it's grass fire season in IA. I think people had half of Scott co. on fire today by being stupid and burning leaves on a windy day. Your tax dollars were well spent by fema today. Many of our deptments were able to get brush trucks for this kind of fire event through fema grants. Nobody lost a house today. Linda, I truly thought about the "she" when I wrote about the deuce. You called it, an it. An "it" would have no nuts. I've always used a female conotation with mine, so that's where the "she" came from. But mostly back in the day, we just said," The deuce". |

Good one Earl . I can already tell I like your sense of humor. For the record, I am headin' to Donahue next weekend and I will personally count all of the nuts to ensure none were castrated er left off, I mean.
