That's what I said - NO reason whatsoever why a housing would be turned/machined EXCEPT to REMOVE previously stamped numbers .
So unless someone can come up with the info , that GM did this (And it make NO sense whatsoever as far as labor costs , if they made a mistake in stamping - it would be stamped over with lines or x's - then restamped). I'm calling it phony (but I am always eager/happy to learn something - if anyone has corroborating info.). |
