I don't recall where I got this (restoration) photo, but it shows a fairly production-typical rear wheel well undercoat/sound-deadener application. The Assembly Manual only shows the front wheel well application - the rear was done by Fisher Body.

Here is a link to the resto on my Z and what I think to be correct for the wheel wells. I have also found a heavy spray of undercoating at the tow boards and the firewall connection. My 69 Z resto

The Supercar Workshop gang has this process down to an absolute science. Not sure if the "secret formula" is gonna leave the vault in Latrobe though....

Mine looks the same as JohnZ wheelwell,the entire well is undercoated and so are my front wheelwells.
