I think those tires were on the car when I bought it in July of '64 (including the PortaWalls!). They DID come in handy that winter. I'll have to dig that photo out some time. I replaced them with a HiTech set of Firestone 500s the following spring. Worst set of tires I ever owned!Lots of guys did run the Mud/Snow tires on our old dirt strip though. My current neighbor ran a Fuelie '63 Split Window with 13" snow tires to change his gearing. And others ran the Butyl Plycrons with cross grooves. Ah yes, things were different then! ![]()
