Default '69 #s 435hp Day 2 Corvette, 14k Miles

Doesn't get much sweeter than this combo. Unfortunately this one was repainted decades ago, in Imron no less, but other than that it's a very cool unrestored car.

----Not a bad old 69, but what's up with both the missing PCV valve and hose, as well as the drivers side valve cover fitting and hose to the air cleaner? Oh, and someone got a bit heavy with the rattle can black under the hood....Bill S

For a split second my heart went yikes when I saw this Black ‘69 with slots on it.

Similar, but my ‘69 had a more customized look to it back in 1974.
Built by Dick Fernando in Gillespie, Illinois.

I loved this car …… wicked fast.

Am I correct in remembering that that '69 was featured in a Vette issue of Hot Rod Magazine back in the 70's? I remember the FI unit.

It may have been as Dick built this Black car in ‘71ish so maybe a magazine feature was done before I owned it.

Two other guys later built copies of this Black example.
One was White with Red interior and FI.
The other was built by my late good friend Bob Smith from Springfield, Illinois.
Bob’s car was a ‘72 in Elkhart Green with FI pictured below.

All three of these cars were at the Bloomington show one year and they drew a crowd.

This car and Dave Ankenbauer's '72 Phase-III 454 Corvette were the inspiration on how I built my corvette. The stance and look of that black vette are perfect in my eyes.
