Default Re: 12 bolt axles

I don't see any reason to switch from a 12 bolt to a 9" or a Dana. They are plenty strong for a street/strip car if it's built right.

For example, I have a friend with a 1970 Chevelle (all steel but the hood)with a BBC 427, T-400 and a 12 bolt. He has Strange axles, stock Eaton carrier, running mid ten's with a about 125 shot of the funny stuff.

I also know a few people running Moser axles and am wondering where you did your research to come to the conclusion that they aren't a good axle?
