Chuck,
I thought a non-cowl induction LS-6 could either come with a dual snorkle or an open (907) style air cleaner especially if it came out of the Arlington Texas plant. This was documented by the 2 digit code on the build sheet from Arlington cars I have seen. I don't remember the actual codes. Comments? Bill

Any of these were possible on an LS-6,from almost all their assembly plants,as well as any 1970 Super Sport Chevelle/Elcamino,shown in box #55 on their build sheet.
Code DG (Working Cowl Induction~part#6485235) Code SS (Open Element~part#6485239) Code CO (Dual Snorkle~part#6485257)~Lmtd.time on solid lifter only.

They sure did have an open element air cleaner system.
