I sent the original smog tubes from my COPO to Mike Gibbons at Brake Boosters/Detail Plating. He plated them black zinc which produced the greenish color. They passed Legends judging without deduction.

JJR, Ive read about Black Zinc , so Im glad to read that's what you had done....

If you look at other Clear Zinc and Yellow Zinc on your Restoration the zinc plating has a brightner applied over the zinc..........

Hard to tell but I'm guessing your smog trees are not to shiny, so maybe no brightner ???? Can you find out ..........Thanks
