Default 8,766-Mile '67 Chevelle SS396

Good looking car, but this doesn't appear to be the all-original survivor car that the seller claims it to be (one repaint, restored engine, etc). Evidently MacNeish evaluated this Chevelle, and I'd rather read his assessment alone than the seller's description, but Jerry's report isn't included in the auction description. Still one of my favorite color combos.

This is a very nice Chevelle in great colors and options and I don't doubt the milage claim.

The selling dealer's opening description claims original paint and then recants in the small print.

"Time Capsule"??

Full repaint.
Chassis and floors have been sprayed black.
Trunk has been re-spatter painted.
Engine has been re-painted, obviously while out of the car.
Painted hood hinges and all hoses replaced with incorrect clamps
Why was all this necessary??

The listed U16 tach is actually a '66 "knee knocker" tach as opposed to the proper '67 "blinker tach" and likely added later.
The AM-FM radio is not a compatible option with the rear mounted antenna, it's one or the other. Also, the antenna should be standing straight up, not leaning rearward.
The "original steel wheels" are not proper 6 A3 code wheels for this car. Too much offset and wrong codes.

A very nice car, but not "Time Capsule"

I was waiting for Mr. Wente to chime in.

If …. that mileage is correct I would have loved to have seen it before all the bumper to bumper repainting was done.

Yes, nice refreshing colors, but certainly Not a Survivor / Time Capsule car.

When did JM become a 67 Chevelle expert? I might have a 67 chevelle specific expert look at this prior to purchase.

Is this the same car that was at MCACN a few years ago? There was an all original 67 that was there. Also very low mileage.

Those White Stripe tires are killer.
Redlines are a distant second IMO.
