Goodyear Power Cushion, non-dot tire
I think the date is: M - U (or D) - 0 (or O) - S - 4 - 3 - B (or 8) Many thanks... Hope this is not too jumbled. -Dan

Until the TIN (Tire Identification Number) format was standardized by the DOT in May, 1971, the tire manufacturers were free to use any proprietary format they wanted; pretty difficult to decode pre-DOT tire numbers without some really old paperwork.
