Default Hood Pins

For a 68 Camaro did the hood pins replace the factory hood stops? Was there any particular type used?

Thnx, Scott

Hi Scott, If you look at some of the past feature cars you will see that the hood pins mounted a little back and a little towards the center of the car. From what I can make out it looks about no more than an 1 to 1.5 inches from the hood bumpers. I have seen reproduction hood pins from Classic Industries that look pretty close. I hope this helps.

Thanks Mark. the guy I got the car from put them way towards the center of the car. I have to repair the hood and want to put them in the correct spot. I have yet to see a car with hood pins in person to verify position. Thnx again, Scott
