Default 1967 Camaro engine pad

Hi all,

In 67 specially the small block application (non high performance small blocks), was the engine pad stamped with both a VIN and engine suffix/date?

I'm looking at a car for a friend and the seller is insistent that Chevy did not stamp the VIN on the block in 67 Camaros?

Any truth here?

Thanks,
Dan

<span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">Engines
For most Chevrolets, the partial VIN was stamped on the engine pad near the engine assembly code.

<span style="color: #FF0000">On 1967 Camaros, generally only the Z28 and SS engines had the partial VIN's stamped. In 1967, this code consists of the sixth through the thirteen characters of the full VIN, e.g. 7N123456.</span></span></span>
