Warning for anyone who purchased an aftermarket cowl induction kit or cowl induction wire harness in the late 90's.
Below are some pics. Check out the light brown wire. I pulled this out of the box yesterday. It has never seen sunlight since I purchased it in the late 90's. The insulation is falling apart. I have to believe there are more like it out there. So, if you got a kit back then, check out the light brown wire. The other wires are fine. Guess they got a bad run of the light brown. Yeah, I love all the repro crap.

Yes a lot of the cheap plastic used as insulation in the late 80's and 90's are more then likely to become brittle and cracking due to ozone exposure.
