Safety Warning, Repro cowl induction harness
 

Warning for anyone who purchased an aftermarket cowl induction kit or cowl induction wire harness in the late 90's.

Below are some pics. Check out the light brown wire. I pulled this out of the box yesterday. It has never seen sunlight since I purchased it in the late 90's. The insulation is falling apart. I have to believe there are more like it out there.

So, if you got a kit back then, check out the light brown wire. The other wires are fine. Guess they got a bad run of the light brown.

Yeah, I love all the repro crap.

Yes a lot of the cheap plastic used as insulation in the late 80's and 90's are more then likely to become brittle and cracking due to ozone exposure.
