Chris if I remember correctly they don't make one for the nova anymore this is the one for a Camaro. With a little imagination I made it work. I think I bent the handle a little and also bent the shifter where the handle bolts to the gate. Mine was hitting the console if I remember correctly. After the modifications I did it worked flawless.

Hurst used the 1967-68 Camaro shifter and install kit for the 1968 Chevy II (Nova) with console

that is how it is listed in my old Hurst catalog

they list different numbers for 68 with console and different numbers for 69-72

I just went through this debacle with our '69 Nova SS, and none of these will work without modification. I bought the Camaro unit that the mail order companies list for Novas, lucky for me, we have a '67 Camaro - it's now going to receive a 4 speed conversion with the Hurst shifter & install kit that didn't work in the Nova!

What you need is the 'Special Build' shifter that Hurst makes specifically for this application. We used it, and it fit perfectly. I met a guy from this site years ago, Jody Haag, and he has bailed me out several times on stuff like this....

the 391-7875 is listed in the old Hurst catalog for the 1969 and 1970 Nova with console

the 391-4339 is listed in the old Hurst catalog for the 1968 Chevy II ( Nova ) with console and is the same shifter for 67-68 Camaros

I just checked the Hurst on-line catalog and it still shows the 391-4339 for the 1968 Chevy II ( Nova ) with console

not sure why they list a different shifter for the 68 and 69 Nova with consoles
unless the consoles or something is different?
or they just never changed the listing
