Wuddaya think? Got the 1.1 liter engine sitting in the Opel GT.
Can't put the tranny in yet, as apparently there is not rear cross member in the pile of parts. Other than the cracked piston saga, sifting through piles of parts and bolts, and then not finding the bolts you need, has been the most frustrating. Believe it or not, I found a rear cross member on ebay. It is different than the one that goes in the "big block" Opel GT (1.9 liter). Getting there slowly but surely.

I think you got enough room to stick another one in there.

It would be a fun exercise to put a modern GM Ecotec 2.0 Turbo in one of those Opel GTs.
![]() http://www.gmpowertrain.com/engines/2l-ltg.html 275 hp would be a lot of fun in that little car. Might be a little too tall for the low hood line though. |
